Who Are We?
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) offered a CIMA preparation course for a number of years on an informal basis for UJ Honours graduates wanting to study towards the much sought after CMA designation (offered by CIMA, UK).
Due to the rising demand for quality CIMA tuition in Gauteng and continuity in quality service provision, FAT Training CC was formed in 2007. All the members of FAT Training are full-time lecturers at UJ. They are also either Associate Chartered Management Accountants (ACMAs) or part-qualified CIMA members.
Since its formation, FAT Training CC has been the preferred CIMA strategic level and TOPCIMA (T4 Part B case study) tuition provider for students that completed their B.Com Honours (Financial Management) degree at UJ.
The members are committed to the success of each and every course and customer satisfaction is of paramount importance.
FAT Training offers both current and prospective students the following:
- Focus and specialisation – FAT Training focuses on CIMA tuition only and specialises in the strategic level and TOPCIMA (T4 Part B case study exam);
- Non-cancellation — FAT Training has not cancelled one course since its inception in 2007 and guarantees that it will not cancel any courses in 2012;
- Learning Quality Partner — FAT Training is a CIMA Learning Quality Partner. In addition, all lecturers on the courses offered, have written and passed the relevant CIMA exams; and
- Flexibility and adaptability – FAT Training was the first college in South Africa to offer tuition for the T4 Part B case study exam on PC that CIMA piloted in March 2010.
